It’s December again. Another chance to leave the past behind and embrace a brighter tomorrow. Another chance to leave the ruts and embrace a more quality lifestyle. Hmmmmm… Here is another challenge for us to rise to the occasion and kick out a common enemy. Let’s banish this stealer of joy and destroyer of souls from our lives forever. Enjoy this one and be transformed!
*****
Bitterness is a cancerous parasite which poisons, consumes away, eats up and destroys the soul of its host, causing him or her to self-destruct. Like people say, it’s like taking poison and expecting someone else to be affected.
It is an established fact that peace is not dependent on happenings, but is a health test for the soul (after all, Jesus slept through a boisterous storm because he was a man of peace). In a like manner, bitterness is also not a function of offense or happenings, for a bitter person will always take offense even where none is intended. And yes, bitterness is transferable and can be spread. Like an epidemic, it is indeed highly contagious!
More importantly, you also have to be careful not to allow anyone to infect you with bitterness. Never acquire bitterness against anyone from your friend. Rather, spread the joy, offer a word of comfort, reconcile parties at odds and by all means, DO NOT get contaminated and afflicted with another man’s bitterness this Christmas…
Therefore, whatever you do, please stay bitterness-free this Christmas forward. Forgive your offenders (real or imagined…), and set every captive free, for then only willnyou be truly free!

May the Love, Joy and Peace of the Lord, and the Comfort of the Holy Spirit garrison your hearts and souls against all forms of bitterness this Christmas and beyond IJN.
Have a December to remember!
