Day 170: Three Things To Do When You See A Ray Of Hope

From blog.vmforsp.com

1Kings 18:44-45 (ESV) And at the seventh time he said, “Behold, a little cloud like a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” And he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot and go down, lest the rain stop you.’”And in a little while the heavens grew black with clouds and wind, and there was a great rain.

Sequel to our post on All By The Same Power… where we painted some scenarios where heaven suddenly flashes you a hint of hope in providing a little improvement to an ailing situation:

Here are three things to do when you notice the little change to ensure it leads eventually to the big miracle you really desire:

…fan this glowing ember into flame with your faith and expectations. Do not smother it with your doubt and fears…

1. Rejoice and Celebrate it.
Every small change, improvement, inch-forward, little progress must be appreciated and celebrated.

2. Be Thankful to God for it.
We should offer conscious praises to God for every little change, improvement, provision, etc.

3. Speak and Act as though it is going to lead to the real miracle.

Notice what the Prophet did when the cloud which appeared was no bigger than a man’s hand:

And he said, “Go up, say to Ahab, ‘Prepare your chariot and go down, lest the rain stop you.’” 1Kgs. 18:44 (ESV)

Afterwards, did he see rain? Sure! A very heavy downpour!

Likewise, you need to capitalize on this little ray of hope. You need to fan this glowing ember into flame with your faith and expectations. Do not smother it with your doubt and fears. You need to water the seed and not uproot it. Sustain the miracle. Hold on to it.

This happens by Confessing your faith and not your doubts, and acting according to your hopes and not your fears.

If you’d repeat these three steps continuously, this little ray of hope will bring showers of your miracles into reality very shortly!

Prayer:

I am thankful once again Lord, that Your same power which gives me little improvements and flickers of hope is also able to give me the entire miracle I really desire.

Letting go of dashed hopes in the past, please help me dear Lord, to celebrate and capitalize on each little improvement with a thankful heart, until I see the miracle I much desire come pouring down on me like showers of a heavy and abundant rain. Amen.
