Day 7: To Prevail With Men…

Gen.32.28(MKJ)... for like a prince you have power with God and with men, and have prevailed.

People generally believe that success is a product of hard work and strong connections only. Hence, they wear themselves out laboring to be rich and fighting for favor with men….

It however takes more than our best efforts, intentions and connections to be a force to reckon with in life. True success in life begins with and is only guaranteed by a good relationship with God!

Not until we prevail with God will we prevail with men.

Oswald J. Smith said, “Not until we prevail with God will we prevail with men.” How true!

The man Jacob learnt this lesson a little late in life and got in one single night what twenty years of struggle and cheating couldn’t fetch him! (Gen.32.24-18).

To weigh much in life, we must weigh much with God!
To be much in life, we must be much for God.
To have favor with man, we must have favor with God.
To prevail in life and with men, we must first prevail with God!

Do you wish for favor and victory this new year? Do you wish for God to pave the way for you and incline the forces of life to attend to you till you become a significant brand respected by men- great and small?

It all starts by making your walk with God a priority.

Dear Heavenly Father, what an eye opener that the key to all wealth, success, prominence and every other good thing I wish for in life lies with You.
Please help me to make fellowship with You my priority. Amen.
